Class 3-308

Each day students are expected to read for at least 20 minutes for homework! We send home a math worksheet as well. This worksheet is directly related to the lesson taught in class that day!
Reminders:
-Breakfast is served each day beginning at 7:30 AM.
-All HW and notices are sent home in each students HW folder.
We are now into May which means we have come to the end of our preparation for the NY State Math Test! The students have been equipped with the skills and strategies they need and we can't wait to rock the test!

The test takes place over two days on May 7, and May 8th.

It is important to make sure each student gets a good nights sleep and eats a healthy breakfast the morning of the test!

The students did their best on the state test! We are now moving into our new unit which is all about helping the local and global community. The students are reading and learning about individuals who made a difference in their communities.

Independent reading is still a big focus for us with our Marathon Reading Fridays! Students choose a book of high interest to them and build their stamina remaining focused while reading!

One thing to help at home would be to ask the students some questions after they do their independent reading. Questions like (how would you describe the main character? What was the problem? How did they solve it?)
Attendance is always important! Thank you for all your efforts getting our students to class each day!

There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 27!
