✏️ Writing: ✏️
We just finished our module 3 writing and published our work on Friday, December 1st. Throughout the unit students worked on describing an important place. They worked on using sensory words and descriptive writing in order to clearly paint a picture of their special place.

Our next unit of writing will be writing persuasive letters explaining why someone should be our friend!

📚 Reading: 📚
We are wrapping Module 3 for ELA. Our focus in reading this unit was to study imporatant places and monuments in US history. We did this through using narrative nonfiction texts to learn important information. Our lessons focused on the following strategies: identifying the central idea, identifying the authors use  text structure, text and graphic features, and more!

Every Friday we participate in Marathon Reading where the kids are working to build their stamina to read for longer periods of time. You can continue to support this with independent reading at home.

Our next perfect attendance field trip is coming up.  Students that had 100% attendance in the month of November will be selected via a raffle to attend go BOWLING!  Remember to BE HERE NOW!
